Glasgow Youtube Gathering

Postby PAPAWINDY on Wed Oct 10, 2007 2:16 pm

I‘ve compiled a list of everything you could possibly need for the Youtube meet in Glasgow in George Square on the third of November 2007 3/11/07.

If there is anything I have missed out please leave it in this thread so others can see.

If you have any questions about this please email papasevents@hotmail.co.uk

Taxi
There is hundreds of taxis all over Glasgow and private hire ones.

The private hire ones are about the half the price of the normal ones but your not allowed to flag them.
If a private hire cab offers you a life decline as it may not be safe.
The recommended taxis to get are the London cab style ones, there is plenty of them in Glasgow and will cost about £2 a mile.
Try to make the taxi driver believe you know where your talking about when you get in as their known to go in circles to get the fair up.

Accommodation:

Hotel

All prices of Hotels range between £20 and £60 per person per night.

Although with Euro Hostel the more that stay, the cheaper it is. So you can maybe sort something out with other people that are coming.

Another thing I have to add is all the hotels listed are no more than 2 miles from the city centre all walking distance to George Square.
